Tourism Ends for 2012

I just wanted to say a big huge thank you to all of my customers who came into Denali Images this summer and bought photos and jewelry.  It was a risky move to relocate my gallery from downtown to a strip mall but it worked.  We survived our first summer of being right next to the Princess Tours office, across from the tour bus parking lot and the "interesting" music being blared from our neighbor.

We had a very wet and cold summer and it ended with a flood.  Fortunately, the gallery did not flood, I'm super thankful for that but my heart went out to those that did.  This is a very strong town and it kicks back pretty fast.

We have be diligently working on this website because we have promised it to our customers.  It also will help to pay high rent costs throughout the dead winter months.  If we have missed photos and you remember them, please let us know which ones you would like to see.  We still have many to upload.

Lastly, I wanted to mention that if you did want to purchase a photo and have it framed for Christmas,(very popular idea for Christmas presents) it needs to get ordered soon.  Our framing shop gets backed up over the summer months and at Christmas.  I do have two large panoramic 20x50 photos already framed, one of "Sky Blue Pink" and the other is "Morning Glory."  I would let them go for a sale price of $1000 to whomever calls first.

Another big thanks go out to my employees that held down the fort because I couldn't be two places at once, Tom and Whitney.  You did an awesome job and I couldn't have done it without you.  Thanks for all the extra carpentry help Tom, you saved our business many times so that door could be open.

Well, I hope all of you have many winter adventures and get a chance to come back and visit.  The mountain has been out, I think 16 days straight now.  We miss the tourists but it is giving us time to regroup, take more photos, and make more jewelry for next summer.

Cheers to all of you,

Beth Valentine
